KTC BV is a fully remote/distributed company based in The Netherlands, with our colleagues currently spread across various countries in Europe, South America, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. All of our colleagues work from their home offices, with the company providing support when and where needed.

This structure enables all of us to truly live by our three core principles:

Company Culture

We get work done while adhering to our core principles. As long as the work gets done, we don’t mind whether you do it at 3 AM or 11 PM—whatever suits your lifestyle. That said, the general company working hours are 9-5 Amsterdam time, but various colleagues worldwide work in their own time zones and schedules. Here are a few examples:

Commercial staff responsible for our European sales usually adhere to 9-5 Amsterdam time.

Commercial staff responsible for overseas sourcing adapt to their counterparties—speaking to Argentina means working past 5 PM Amsterdam time; speaking to China means working before 9 AM.

Market researchers work whenever it suits them, remaining responsive during office hours in case of an emergency.

Social media specialists post time-sensitive content within 9-5 Amsterdam time and do other work whenever it suits them, remaining responsive during office hours in case of an emergency.

Administrative assistants complete time-critical tasks during an agreed period within 9-5 Amsterdam time and handle other work whenever it suits them.

It should also be noted that almost none of us works 40 hours. How? One may need to take their kids to football or piano lessons twice a week at 3:30 PM, while another might choose to visit the gym twice a week between 1-3 PM. We fully support our employees in arranging their work around their lives, not the other way around. However, this doesn’t mean our employees work only 10 hours a week and spend the other 30 chilling (well, at least not all of them :). Our commercial staff, for example, frequently attend various industry exhibitions. These require them to travel to events within or outside Europe, and once there, their days usually start at 10 AM and finish after a dinner with clients at 11 PM. Ergo: we work whenever and wherever the work needs to get done.

P.S.: Yes, this means we fully support digital nomads. As long as the work gets done and your role allows it, you can do it with a laptop on a sunny beach of your own choosing.

Compensation

Show me the money! We all work to earn money, which allows us to set up our lives the way we want. KTC BV supports its employees in doing so. Our salaries reflect the contribution of an employee to the company and are flexible. There’s no ceiling to what one can earn. If you deliver superior value, your work will be compensated accordingly. In addition to our salaries, our employees receive industry-leading year-end bonuses, which vary according to their contribution and the success of our business.

While we currently do not have a formal employee share ownership program, we encourage all our employees to aspire to become co-owners of our company. We believe employee ownership offers benefits to both our employees and the company.

Career Development and Growth Opportunities

At KTC BV, we have 15+ years of experience in the food industry and can therefore teach you valuable lessons and share a wealth of knowledge. That said, the company can only give back as much as an employee wants to receive. We value each employee’s initiative and desire to learn and are ready to support them in every step of their training and career development.

This includes investing in training courses worth thousands of euros or providing the right books and/or video/audio material to help them thrive and reach their potential within this business and our company.

Since all work is done remotely, being able to work independently without supervision is also a must.
